A Vision for Japan

A Vision for Japan
An army is stretched out before me. I see a sea of people that reaches over
the horizon. An army that has only one visible thing in common: the headband
of the Kamikaze. Their foreheads are adorned with the rising sun of the
Japanese flag as a sign of their destiny and of the future that unites them
all, certain death and eternity without God. Kamikaze, “Wind of the gods”;
this wind of the gods of death and un-freedom is blowing in Japan. This army
is marching under the command of Satan.
But can you see it? The Holy Spirit is starting to blow. Vast parts of the
army are thrown to the ground. Struck by the spirit of God they die in
Christ. The wind of the demons has to give way to the breath of God, the
Holy Spirit, who calls into the death of Christ to change us and create us
anew. The rising sun on the headbands of the corpses darkens, loses its
brightness and is finally hidden behind a wall of black clouds. But as they
rise by the power of the resurrection, a blood-red moon breaks through the
clouds. The Army of the Rising Sun has become the Army of the Red Moon, the
army of the risen, who, in these, the last days, are marching towards their
Lord and his return…
Joel 3, 1-5; Acts 2, 17-21
We are devoting ourselves to this vision. To help it become reality we want
to plant churches amongst the 127 Million Japanese, especially the 23, 1
million between 15 and 29 years of age. Churches that are relevant to their
culture and go where Jesus would go, right among the sinners of their scene;
churches that multiply independently to take it into their own hands to
carry the gospel to the ends of the earth.
