Grüße aus Singapur - Greetings from Singapore
Wir sind nach 12 Stunden Flug gut in Singapur angekommen, wurden direkt vom Flughafen abgeholt und im OMF IHQ Guesthome in einem schönen Zimmer untergebracht, zum Glück mit Ventilator und Klimaanlage :). Morgens waren wir dann gleich bei der Japanischen Botschaft 20min Fußmarsch vom OMF Büro was uns bei 34°C doch etwas ins schwitzen gebracht hat und haben unsere Visa beantragt, die wir am Mittwoch schon abholen können - der Clou hier für Deutsche gebührenfrei :). Nach unserem “Ausflug” bei den tropischen Bedingungen haben wie uns dann nachmittags ein kleines Nickerchen gegönnt.
Zum Abendessen gab es leckerstes Hühnchen, kleine Trockenfische mit Erdnüssen, in Kokosmilch gekochter Reis und Chilli-Paste, die dem Magen gleich mal angesagt hat, wann er jetzt zu arbeiten hat - aber wie gesagt sehr lecker. Uns geht es gut und wir hoffen, dass wir den? das? Jetlag schnell wegstecken.
Lustiger Weise saßen die Leiter des Orientation Course vor ein paar Jahren schon mal in einem Vortrag bei der Afem als Hajo, Rebecca und JP etwas über die Freaks und ihre Arbeit erzählt haben, hihi.

After a12 hour flight we arrived well in Singapore. We stay in a beautiful room at the OMF IHQ Guest Home, fortunately, with a fan and air conditioning :). In the Morning we went straight to the Japanese Embassy, a 20min walk from the OMF office which introduced us quite good to the humid 34 ° C. On Wednesday alredy we can pick up our Visa there and for Germans it’s toll free, we don’t have to pay a single dollar :). After our trip in the tropical conditions we then had a little afternoon nap.
For dinner, we had yummy chicken, small dried fish with peanuts, rice cooked in coconut milk and a thick chilli paste. We are doing well and we hope that we cope with the jet lag quickly.
It’s funny because the director of the Orientation Course and his wife were sitting a few years ago in a lecture at the Afem-Conference where Hajo, Rebecca and JP told something about the freaks and the ministry to urban tribes, hihi.
